ENVISIONING STATEHOOD SERIES

Bringing together statehood groups across DC, this series looked at how close DC is to gaining statehood and thus full self-determination and representation in Congress. It also looked at what life in the Douglass Commonwealth could be like once we have statehood. A capstone conference on September 17, 2022 with about 100 in-person and online attendees built on three online panel discussions that looked at the impact on DC's justice system, and budget.

The League also released a Statehood Resource Directory that provides information on over 15 organizations and individuals fighting for statehood.
