We are thrilled to invite you to join LWVDC and members of our sister leagues in the DC/MD/VA region on Saturday, June 20th at The National Theater (1321 Pennsylvania Ave NW) for the 2PM matinee performance of SUFFS – the Broadway hit that tells the origin stories of the League of Women Voters and honors the trailblazers that came before us and the movement that we continue together.
Created by Shaina Taub, the first woman to win Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score in the same season, this “thrilling, inspiring and dazzlingly entertaining” (Variety) new musical boldly explores the triumphs and failures of a struggle for equality and women’s right to vote that’s far from over. Winner of the Outer Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Musical.
LWVDC members and friends will sit together in your choice of 3 sections – Orchestra ($155/seat,) Mezzanine ($135/seat,) or Rear Balcony ($85/seat,) joining 200 members and friends from across the region. And, come early – wear a sash! Wear your suffrage costume! We are having a party!
The deadline for ordering is May 15th. Specific seats will be assigned and delivered via email 2 to 4 weeks prior to the performance. PLEASE NOTE: To buy tickets in multiple sections, you must make a separate transaction for each price point.
