Volunteer Opportunity: Community Safety Fair
About this event
Join us at another justice-involved volunteer opportunity! This Saturday, Apr. 26 from 1 - 4PM, DC Justice Lab is hosting its annual Community Safety Fair at the MLK Library. LWVDC volunteers will be offering voter registration and home rule information to individuals at the fair.
We will provide all the materials and please register to volunteer. We encourage anyone interested to attend even if you don't volunteer. If you can't make the event, this is still a wonderful opportunity to learn from individuals who are excited to reimagine how our DC community operates.
About the fair: This public, community event will feature participants from the Lab's Policy Training Academy sharing their ideas with the public and policy makers in a science fair format. In previous years, this event has been well attended by justice-impacted residents, residents interested in justice policy, and policy makers. Attendees can drop in at any time, as there is no formal program. Get more information at https://dcjusticelab.org/library/punishment/.
Please register to volunteer. To volunteer, you must have completed the online voter registration training. To access the voter registration training, click on this link: Voter Registration Training. Be sure to click the "verify" button at the bottom of the page to indicate that you have completed the training.
