Washington, DC		 90th Anniversary Rally. LWVDC will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States which gave women in the US the right to vote and be represented - in every part of the nation except Washington, DC.

A day-long picket-line-style silent demonstration is planned in front of the White House. Details are in the PDF flyer.

Come walk for 19 minutes, 90 minutes or all day. All supporters are welcome!

Thursday, August 26, 2010 6:30 - 9:30pm 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Candlelight March. An evening event, this candlelight march is for social justice for women and girls.

Thursday, August 26, 2010 7-9pm   19th Amendment Anniversary Panel Discussion. To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote, the Sewall-Belmont House & Museum has joined with the National Archives Experience and the National Park Service's Mary McLeod Bethune Council House for a panel discussion on the women's suffrage movement and its lasting impact on race and gender in the United States.
