On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today. Our young people are saying "enough" and standing up for what's right.
We can help by doing what we do best - connecting our inspiring young people to the other ways they can make an impact, especially by voting. We will be out on the streets with them, registering voters and encouraging everyone at the march to get out and vote. We need your help to make this happen.
We are meeting at Farragut Square between 9 - 10 am. Metro: Farragut North (red line) and Farragut West (orange, blue, and silver lines. We'll be in the center in the square by the statue. Please arrive by 10:00 am.
We will have backpacks with all the materials you will need to register voters to pick up at the square.
What to Wear
The weather is predicted to be cold and potentially wet, and you will also likely need to be on your feet most of time you are registering voters. Please dress to stay warm and dry and wear comfortable shoes.
**** Please do not wear anything (shirts, buttons, tote bags) that supports any candidate or party, or advocates for any political issue. ****
We will organize into teams of 3-5 people with a team captain for each group. Each team will walk down towards the march to work and will work for up to three hours (how long you actually work is up to you). The captains will be with you for support: to make sure you know how to register voters, and will be there to answer questions you have. When you are done, you can give your backpack with the completed forms and any remaining supplies to the team captain.
We are no longer accepting volunteers for this event. Thank you for your interest!
