Voter Registration & Reception
In celebration of our founding in April 1920, LWVDC hosts an annual reception after the April Naturalization Ceremony to welcome the new citizens who have just been sworn in and congratulate them on taking this huge step. We host a reception with great food and voter registration forms.
This is a fun and rewarding event to participate in. We are known for providing a delicious feast - let’s make certain we uphold that tradition!
Volunteers needed for the Reception
The reception will host approximately 250 new citizens and their guests. Volunteers are needed to provide food (lots of it!), help set up the reception, welcome guests during the reception, and help clean up after. Any help you can provide is welcome!
Bring Food! Delicious finger food such as tea sandwiches, cheese and crackers, cookies, cupcakes, veggies and dip, muffins, and fresh fruit. Make it yourself or pick it up at the store - everything is welcome!!
Metro/Bus: Please use WMATA's trip planner for information on public transportation access.
Parking: Volunteers should expect parking to be very limited in this area. Parking Panda
