I will support the enforcement of combined reporting (20-30 million) and support ending tax abatements to large businesses coming into the city. The city could also do more in aggressively seeking Federal money the District qualifies for and implementing recommendations from the Office of the Inspector General to make sure we are awarding competitive and cost-efficient government contracts.
Questions 3: How to reduce spending? I am in favor of across the board reduction in spending.
Questions 4: Will Council salary be your only employment income? Yes. I was the first candidate to publicly come out and call on the city council to reduce their salaries by 15%. I also called on the Council to make their positions full-time. When I am elected I will stick to these values by working as a full-time council member.
